Welcome to Year 5 Addams Class
The class teacher for Addams is Miss Stanbridge. The class LSAs are Mrs Hicks and Mrs Feaviour. If you have a question or would like to contact us, please use the form at the bottom of this page.
We would like all children to read each night (or at least 3 times a week) for 10 minutes (or more) and have their reading record signed weekly by an adult at home. The reading record must be given to Mrs Hicks/Mrs Feaviour every morning in order to gain points towards your reading certificates. If you have misplaced the reading record, a note can be written and signed by an adult instead.
PE and Kit:
PE is on a Wednesday afternoon with Miss Stanbridge and Thursday afternoon with the Sports Coach. Children should bring their PE kit into school and change for the session. Their ears need to be clear of earrings and all jewellery removed. The school kit must be black or grey jogging bottoms or black shorts and a white t-shirt. The Unity purple jumper should be worn over the top. Please note, children should not be in full coloured tracksuits. Children will not be allowed to do PE if they do not have the correct footwear (trainers) due to health and safety.
Alongside reading each week, we encourage each child to visit the Times tables Rockstars and Mathletics websites to encourage independent learning skills. We will also be sending out specific homework linked to our topic to encourage learning at home. Logins to follow soon!
We follow the 'SMART' rules to reward and recognise behaviour in our class. We also use Class Dojo to gain points throughout the day and work towards certificates/prizes. The dojo points are linked to the SMART chart and our whole school dispositions which are:
