English - Sentence Writing
For today's English home learning, I would like you to select your favourite scenes from 'A Tale of Two Feathers' and write some simple sentences to represent them. Don't forgot to use your phonic knowledge to help you sound out the words to put in your sentences and used Fred talk to help write your words.
I look forward to seeing your sentences and your hard work on Tapestry.
Maths - Chinese New Year Dragon
For today's maths home learning, we are going to be using our shape knowledge to create a Chinese New Year Dragon picture. You will need to cut out the different shapes and then stick it onto the background picture to create a picture of a Chinese New Year Dragon picture. I have attached to template and the shapes worksheet below for use to cut out the different shapes or you can make your own shapes to create your own Chinese New Year Dragon picture.
I look forward to seeing your pictures of your Chinese New Year Dragon pictures on Tapestry.

Phonics 'qu' sound
For today's sound we are going to be recapping the 'qu' sound. First, I would like you to practise saying the sound and the rhyme, remember first you need to say, 'qu' and the 'qu, qu, round the queen’s head, up to her crown, down her hair and curl.'
Then you need to practise saying the words with 'qu' sound in them, which are 'queen', 'quick', 'quiet' and 'quack'. Once you have practise saying the 'qu' sound and the words. I would like you to practise writing the 'qu' sound.
Then I would like you to practise sound out the word using Fred talk:
queen - qu - ee - n
quick - qu - i - ck
quack - qu - a - ck
quiet - qu - i - e - t
