English - Sentence Writing

For today's English home learning, I would like you to write some sentences about the story of Little Red Riding Hood. I would like you to choose three of the pictures from the story of Little Red Riding Hood and I would like you to write sentences about the pictures. I have attached the story below of Little Red Riding Hood below for you to choose your pictures from.

I look forward to seeing your sentence writing on Tapestry.

Maths - Positional Language

For today's home learning for maths, I would like you to revise the positional language which you have been learning both to understand and learn over the past few days. I would then like to match the correct picture showing an example of positional language with the correct positional language wording. The cards are below to match with each other.

I look forward to seeing your hard work on Tapestry.

Making a basket for Little Red Riding Hood

For today's home learning, I would like you to have a go at making a basket like Little Red Riding Hood used when she went to her grandma's house. You can use all different materials to make her basket, this could cardboard or plastic or any other materials you could have in your house.

If you are feeling like you would want to completed an extra challenge, I would like you to have a go at making some different items to go into the basket. This could be pretend sandwiches, cakes and a bottle of drink like in the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

I look forward to seeing your hard work on Tapestry.

Phonics - Tricky words

For today's home learning, I would like you to practise reading and writing your first set of tricky words. I would like you to practise reading the first set of tricky word and then I would like you to write them 3 three times.

Here are the first set of tricky words:

the

I look forward to seeing all your hard work on Tapestry.

Phonics 'b' sound

For today's sound we are going to be recapping the 'b' sound. First, I would like you to practise saying the sound and the rhyme, remember first you need to say, 'b' and the 'bob, down the laces to the heel and around the toe.'

Then you need to practise saying the words with 'b' sound in them, which are 'box', 'big', 'bag' and 'bun'. Once you have practise saying the 'b' sound and the words. I would like you to practise writing the 'b' sound.

Then I would like you to practise sound out the word using Fred talk:

box - b - o - x

big - b - i - g

bug - b - u - g

bun - b - u - n

I look forward to seeing all your hard work on Tapestry. I have attached the link to video for the 'b' sound for you to use whilst you are learning you are sounds.
