Reading

How you should do today's reading is totally your choice! However, I would like a photo sent to me of whatever you choose!

It could be reading a book of your own, reading on Reading Buddy, listening to something online, finding and reading information online...

I've posted some links below that I found interesting:

Audible (try the 'Elementary' section) - https://stories.audible.com/discovery

Reading Buddy - https://www.oxfordreadingbuddy.com/uk

David Walliams' Elevenseshttps://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses-catch-up/

Oliver Jeffers reads aloud (Mrs Sibley's favourite author) - https://www.oliverjeffers.com/abookaday

Writing

I would like you to write something creative today, remembering all of the things that you have learned this year.

Perhaps you could include:

  • A shoe falling from the sky!
  • Your grandparents!
  • A magic pizza!
  • A talking gnome!
  • An object from your house!

Please try to include some or all of the following...

Maths

Today, I would like everyone to log onto Mathletics and complete some learning - I have assigned you some activities to complete and will check how you get on.

Remember! I can see who is logging on and what you are completing!

Also, here are some challenges that I'd like you to tackle with your families. Remember, if you need to, you should definitely find/make some resources. For these, you might need some coins, some number cards, some paper and scissors. Have a go and see how you get on!

PE

Remember, it's important to get plenty of physical exercise too. You may have been following Joe Wicks everyday but here's something else in case you fancy a change. I know when we covered Dance just before Christmas, there were lots of very keen, brilliant dancers! Also, I know that some of you prefer something less energetic so there's something for you here too.

Wellbeing

As much as it is important to keep learning at home. It's also important to relax, have fun and look after your minds.

Take a look at these Mindfulness activities and have a go at them. Doing them with a parent or sibling will make it more fun but they can also be completed alone, if you prefer.
