Staying Safe
For today's home learning, I would like you to think about how you can stay safe. I want you to pretend that you were Little Red Riding Hood and you were going on an adventure to visit your grandma. I want you to think about what Little Red Riding Hood should have done when she saw the wolf in woods. If it was you, would you have stopped to talk to the wolf or would you have continue on your adventure to go to grandma's house.
I look forward to hearing what you think Little Red Riding Hood should have done on Tapestry.
Maths - Comparing Numbers
For your maths home learning today, I would like you to have a go at comparing different numbers. I would like you to create groups of objects and items from your home, you can create groups of up to 10 items. Once you have created groups, I would like your grown up to take different amounts from each group and them compare them.
For example:
Which group is biggest?
Which group is smallest?
What group has the most?
What would happen if you added one more to the smallest group?
I look forward to seeing all your hard work on Tapestry.
English - Little Red Riding Hood story
For today's English home learning, I would like you to read the story of Little Red Riding Hood which is attached below. I would like you to share the story with your grown up. Once you have finished reading the story, I would like you to answer the following questions, with your grown up:
1. Where is the story set? (The place – where are we?) Where are we? Are we in a park, a forest. Point to some of the features in the pictures on the board and conclude where the story is set.
2. Who are the characters in the story? (People or Animals – who is the story about?) Who do you think is the main characters or the most important character that the story is based around?
3. Which characters are good or bad? Why do you think this? Identify some of the different characters and discuss whether they are good or bad.
