Monday 18th May
Good morning Year 2,
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. Mental health problems can affect anyone, at any time. This week the theme is kindness and we would like you to have a go at some 'random acts of kindness' at home or in your community this week. One thing that we have seen all over the world is that kindness is prevailing in uncertain times. We have learnt that amid the fear, there is also community, support and hope. The added benefit of helping others is that it is good for our own mental health and wellbeing. It can help reduce stress and improve emotional wellbeing. Kindness could transform our schools, places of work, communities and families. Let’s have a go at sharing our kindness this week. Send in pictures and on Friday we will select the best ones to receive a special 'kindness' certificate that we will send to your home.
We hope you enjoy spreading kindness this week,
Mrs Nie & Miss Procter
