Reading

We've done lots of learning about the rainforest in just one week! Today, let's take some time to make sure that we understand some of the words that we have and will continue to use during this topic.

Take a look at some of the vocabulary I've picked out and read the definitions carefully. Write out the words with their definitions in your workbooks.

Writing

The rainforest is a dangerous but beautiful place. Some scary animals but also some wonderful areas that are untouched by humans. We're going to have a go at writing a rhyming poem about the rainforest but need to plan out some more vocabulary that we might use first.

Task 1: Look at the picture carefully and imagine yourself in the rainforest

Topic - Geography

This week we are going to continue learning about The Amazon Rainforest.

In this lesson you are going to locate other Tropical Rainforests around the World.

Attached is some map work to complete where you have to identify the continents of the world, add on the seas and oceans and then locate the other Tropical Rainforests of the world. You will also need to add on the Equator, Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capicorn

Find a map on the internet or use an atlas to help you to complete your Geography learning. TRY YOUR BEST TO COMPLETE YOUR LEARNING BEFORE YOU CHECK YOUR LEARNING WITH THE ANSWERS

Think about - Why are the tropical rainforests located where they are? Is it something to do with the tropic lines?
