Mathematics - Finding One More or One Less
For today's Maths, I would like you to have a go at some different activities which are all about finding one more or one less. Remember to take pictures and upload them to Tapestry so we can see all the great work you are doing at home.
Ask your grown up to tell you a number. Place the number of raisins or cereal pieces on a plate. If your grown up says 'one more' can you add one more to your plate or if your grown up says 'one less' can you eat one less and say the number.
There are 6 frogs on a log. One jumps into a pond. How many frogs are left on the log? Can you draw a picture to show the frogs on the log.
Ask your grown to place some toys in front of them and say how many they have. Can you count out a group of toys that is one more? Can you count out a group of toys that is one less?
Can you share your favourite book with me?
What is it called?
Who are the characters?
Why do you like it?
Can you read some of it?
Please share on tapestry titled Reading 26/3/20.
Can you make houses for the 3 little pigs?
Use your imagination- it could be out of Lego, playdough, boxes, a den in the garden.
After you have made your house can you write about how you made it?
I look forward to seeing your photos and writing.
Please share on Tapestry titled English 26/3/20.
