Home Learning - Maths - Repeating Patterns

For today's Maths home learning, I would like you to focus on repeating patterns and how to make your own repeating patterns using just your body parts. You will need your grown to show a pattern using your body parts, for example:

sitting, standing up, hands on head, hands down and hands up and then repeat it a second time

I would like you to have a go at making up different repeating patterns using all your different body parts to make your repeating patterns. Then, you can get your grown ups to record your different repeating patterns and then put them on Tapestry.

I look forward to seeing your different repeating patterns on Tapestry.

Home Learning - English - Retelling the Story

For today's English home learning, I would like you to have a go at retelling the story of Mr Gumpy's Outing. I would like you to retell the story in your own words, whilst you are retelling the story, I would like your grown up to record what you have said or your can get your grown up to write what you have said. Don't forget if you can't remember the story, I have attached the link below to re-watch the story on Youtube.

Home Learning - Expressive Arts and Design

For today's home learning, I would like you to listen to a range of different nursery rhymes which are based on different transport and different ways of travelling. You can access the different nursery rhymes on Youtube. Whilst you are listening to the different nursery rhymes, I would like you to join in with singing the songs and then have a go at using different body parts to make the rhythm of the different songs.

Here is a list of different nursery songs you could listen to:

Row, row, your boat
The Wheels on the Bus
Down at the Station
Five Little Men in a Flying Saucer
Five Little Fireman

I look forward to seeing your hard work on Tapestry.

Home Learning - Phonics 'nk' sound

For today's sound we are going to be recapping the 'nk' sound. First, I would like you to practise saying the sound and the rhyme, remember first you need to say, 'nk' and the 'nk, nk, down knobby and over his net, down the kangaroo's body, his tail and his leg.'

Then you need to practise saying the words with 'nk' sound in them, which are 'blink', 'link', 'think', 'tank'. Once you have practise saying the 'nk' sound and the words. I would like you to practise writing the 'nk' sound.

Then I would like you to practise sound out the word using Fred talk:

blink - b - l - i - nk

link - l - i - nk

think - th - i - nk

tank - t - a - nk

I look forward to seeing all your hard work on Tapestry.
