Set a timer for 1 minute 30 seconds

Complete each movement 4 times

For the rest of the time, run on the spot with high knees to get your heart rate up!

Welcome to Tutu class 

 

Our PE day is a Wednesday. Please ensure children come to school wearing their PE kit.

 

Children are expected to read at least 5 times a week and have their reading record signed by an adult at least once a week. Reading records are checked daily. 
 

We encourage children to continue their learning at home and have a range of websites available for children to access including:

Times Table Rockstars  
Mathletics

 

Homework is set every Monday and is expected to be given in on a Thursday. 

This week, we’ve been learning about missing angles in Maths. It’d be great if parents could ask children about these facts at home. 
What do angles in a straight line add up to? 
What do angles around a point add up to? 
What is a right angle?

What is an acute angle? 
Can you explain an obtuse angle? 

How would I know if an angle is a reflex angle? 

Our current project is ‘Can You Solve a Crime?’ We will be exploring crime and punishment through history including the Romans, Anglo Saxons and Tudors.
In English we will be writing a non-chronological report, police reports and witness statements.

In Maths we will continue following the White Rose curriculum which will include algebra, geometry and position and direction. We will also be revising previous blocks from the year 6 White Rose curriculum. 

 

Our project in the Autumn term was ‘What Would the World Look Like in a Frame?’ We explored music and art from different cultures. We studied ‘Living things and their Habitats’ in Science and natural disasters in Geography. We wrote about natural disasters in English, including a non-chronological, newspaper report and a narrative. 
In Maths we learnt about the four operations, fractions, decimals and percentages.
