We have already learned that deforestation has an awful effect on the tribes that live in the rainforests. However, there are also many animals that lose their homes as the rainforest is cleared. One of those animals is the orangutan.
Read the information about orangutan and make some notes to answer the questions below.
- What do they eat?
- How big are they?
- Where do they live?
- How long do they live in the wild?
- Why are they becoming endangered?
Using your answers from today's reading task, I'd like you to create an informative poster about orangutans.
Please make sure it has the following features:
- A clear title with capital letters
- Pictures and decoration
- Whole sentences, with capital letters and full stops
It might look something like this...
You have been looking at decimals this week.
Yesterday, you used the greater than > and less than < symbols to compare decimals.
Today, I'd like you to use your place value knowledge to compare a set of decimals and arrange them in a given order. This could be smallest to largest or the other way around.
Watch the video clip to help you first and then have a go at Ordering Decimals.

This term, the religion that we are finding out about is Hinduism.
We've already found out about some of the Hindu Gods.
Now, we are going to learn a little bit about how Hindus worship at home.
Read the information on the PowerPoint carefully and use your new knowledge to complete the task at the end.
