Home Learning - English:Story Map
For today's English home learning, I would like you to create a story map of what happens in the story of Mr Gumpy's Outing. I would like you to choose six parts to put into your story map and draw the pictures to show what is happening in each part. Then I would like you to either write a short sentence or add key words to your story map to show what is happening in each part of your story map.
I look for ward to seeing your story maps on Tapestry.
Home Learning - Maths: Repeating Patterns
For your Maths learning today, I would like you to have a go at creating your own repeating patterns. You could use different items around your house to create your repeating patterns, remember as it is a repeating pattern, it needs to repeat itself. You could use blocks, you could use some of your toys, you could use food items or you could use anything else to think of to create your repeating patterns.
I look forward to seeing pictures of your repeating patterns.
Home Learning - Recapping m,s,a,d,t sounds
For today's phonics, I would like you to recap writing, saying and using the first five sounds that we learnt. These were the:
m - maisie mountain
a - around the apple, down the leaf
s - slither down the snake
d - round the dinosaurs bottom, up his tall and down to his feet
t - down the tower, across the tower
I would like you to say the sound, then I would like to practise writing each sound. Once you have practised saying and writing the sounds, I would like you to write some words with the sounds in, 'mat', 'mop', 'ant', 'apple', 'sit', 'saw', 'down', 'dot', 'tin' and 'top'.
Then I would like you to practise your Fred talk:
mat - m - a - t
ant - a - n - t
sit - s - i - t
dot - d - o - t
tin - t - i - n
I look forward to seeing all your hard work on Tapestry.
