Useful Documents

At Unity Primary Academy we encourage home learning in a variety of ways. You can find weekly activities to do with your children or recommended books to read together on the weekly newsletters. Each year group team also sends out a termly curriculum map at the beginning of the term which includes ideas of places to go, websites to visit and things to make or write about. We also invest in several learning websites available on tablets, phones and computers at home. 

 

 

  • Mathletics Complete the maths activities, competitions and play against children across the world. Collect gold bars and points to spend on designing your avatar.
  • Times Tables Rock Stars Improve your times tables skills by beating the clock and your friends answering times tables questions. Collect points to spend on kitting out your rock star avatar.
  • Oxford Reading Buddy Find books and sentences to read together and answer questions to develop your comprehension.

There are lots of websites that provide useful information and guidance for parents. We have included some of the most useful websites here.
  • CEOP News and articles surrounding internet safety.
  • Think You Know Great advice to keep children safe whilst using the internet.
  • Parent Information Expert information to help children and young people stay safe online.
  • NSPCC Online Safety Helpful advice and tools you can use to help keep your child safe whenever and wherever they go online.
  • Action for Children Action for Children supports and speaks for the UK's most vulnerable and neglected children and young people.
  • BBC Bitesize Fun activities to help children at learn more key subjects.
